The purpose of this letter is to provide an update on information as we continue to navigate through these unusual times. In regards to our current reopening plan, Hutsonville CUSD #1 has received its notice that our recognition status has been lowered to “On Probation” in addition we have also received our date and time for our conference call with ISBE which will be August 31, 2021.
Until August 23, 2021, both the IESA and IHSA guidelines stated that only schools whose recognition status had been lowered to unrecognized would not be allowed to participate in the state series. This has been in their guidelines for several years, however, on Monday, August 23, 2021, both the IESA and IHSA Boards voted to immediately change it so all schools who remain on the Illinois State Board of Education’s non-compliance with the state mask mandate will not be able to participate in the state series to include regional play. Furthermore, the following dates were given as deadlines.
