Dylan Batten has achieved his Black Belt in Band Karate. Band Karate requires students to learn various exercises to move up a series of belts to the final goal of Black Belt, which is at the end of the text: Traditions of Excellence. The program was started 4 years ago.

Boys planning on playing HS basketball next school year should plan on attending open gym this Sat, May 4 from 1-2:30 PM in the HHS gym. You will be receiving valuable information and dates for more open gyms.

Student athletic physical pre-screening: Students must pick up a form in the JH/HS office; form must be filled out to have a pre-screening completed. Please remember that students entering grades 6 & 9 will need a full school physical, not an athletic physical.
HS Softball: There will be no JV softball game tomorrow (May 1) at Oblong due to their pitcher being injured. The Varsity game is still on.
Book Fair -- May 1-3, 8:30-12:00
Spring picture money (or pictures if you're not purchasing) are due to the GS office by Monday, May 6!
HS Softball (week of 4/29):
Mon - Bus to Cumberland leaves Palestine at 2:30.
Tue - Practice until 5:30.
Wed - Bus to Oblong leaves Palestine at 3:15. There will be a Varsity game & JV innings.
Thur - Home game w/Chrisman.
Fri - Home game w/Martinsville. (The JV game Friday against Newton will be canceled because of rescheduling Martinsville's rainout.)
Coming up this evening in the HS gym -- Community Prom! 4-6 PM for 5th grade and younger, 6-8 PM for 6th grade through adult. $5 for students, $7 for adults. (Freshman fundraiser...come help them out!)
Tomorrow's (Sat, Apr 27) HS softball tournament at Robinson has been cancelled!
